The Apostle Paul Praying
Notes :
1Th 5:25  Brothers, pray for us.
Paul asks them to pray for the Apostolic Team too. compare: Rom 15:30  But I exhort you, brothers, for the sake of the Lord Jesus Christ and for the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,
Rom 15:31  that I may be delivered from those disbelieving in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted by the saints;
Rom 15:32  so that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed with you.
Rom 15:33  Now may the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

1Th 5:26  Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.
Rom 16:16  Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you.
- JFB's Commentary suggests, "So 1Co_16:20; 1Th_5:26; 1Pe_5:14. The custom prevailed among the Jews, and doubtless came from the East, where it still obtains. Its adoption into the Christian churches, as the symbol of a higher fellowship than it had ever expressed before, was probably as immediate as it was natural. In this case the apostle’s desire seems to be that on receipt of his epistle, with its salutations, they should in this manner expressly testify their Christian affection. It afterwards came to have a fixed place in the church service, immediately after the celebration of the Supper, and continued long in use. In such matters, however, the state of society and the peculiarities of different places require to be studied."
- The church is a family. The sign of the sacred Kiss shows there is true fellowship together.

1Th 5:27  I charge you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.
I solemnly charge you in the Lord's name.....
charge you = adjure; the Greek meaning is "I put you under oath by the Lord." It is equivalent to binding a person under an oath. Compare Matthew 26:63 But Jesus was silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.
- that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.  This letter was to be read to all the saints wherever they were, when assembled together.

1Th 5:28  May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Grace = the goodwil and favour and kindness [charis] of our Lord Jesus Christ i.e. on account of and for the pleasure of our Master the Saviour of all men the Messiah. Note there is[charis] at the beginning and end of the Epistles.
The Exhortation to pray for the Team; the sign of the deep family fellowship of the Believers and the encouragement to read this Letter to all the Holy Brothers brings this first letter to a conclusion.
